Location: Gateway Center – Smithers, WV - Greyhound Lane, Smithers, WV 25136 Community Captain: Noel When: Every Thursday from 6:00 – 7:00 PM About This Event: Join a friendly and relaxed walking group in Smithers for a 2-mile (or 1-mile) evening walk. Well-behaved kids and dogs are welcome, and the path is stroller-friendly—perfect for all ages and paces! What to Expect: • A 1–2 mile round-trip walk leaving from the Gateway Center • Social and supportive community atmosphere • All fitness levels and families welcome How to Prepare: • Bring water and wear comfortable walking shoes • Show up 10–15 minutes early if you need help registering • Event is stroller-friendly and kid/dog friendly Registration to any Active SWV free programming indicates acceptance of our liability waiver for every adult and child attending. Please do not attend programs if you are not feeling well. https://rpb.li/rNo Regarding Community Captain Programs and groups of children: All Active SWV Community Captain programs are family friendly; children are invited to attend with the expectation of a parent/guardian ratio of 1 guardian adult to 5 children. It is our expectation for larger groups of children (e.g. Scouts, youth groups, etc), that an adult to child ratio of 1 adult to 5 children be observed in ages 5 and under, and 1 adult to 10 children be observed for ages 5 and above.
