This trail leaves from the campground at Babcock, and is out-and-back for a total of 4.4 miles. Parts of it can be steep and rocky, but it goes by a stunning waterfall and views of the waters below. After hiking we’ll drive to the Visitors Center to wander around the gristmill area (great photos). Bring snacks, water, and lunch if you would like to eat on the trail or at the Visitors Center. Hiking poles are often helpful, but not necessary; be sure to wear shoes with good soles. If you are still checking off stops on the West Virginia Waterfall Trail, Mann’s Falls and the Gristmill Falls are both on the list. Meet at Hollowell Park lot on GMS Drive in Lewisburg at 9:00 a.m. to carpool/caravan. A small contribution for gas ($2-$3) is appreciated but not necessary. Whether you plan to meet there or at the trailhead, contact the leader ON THIS PAGE ahead of time for planning. Depending on number of hikers, additional drivers may be needed.
