DESCRIPTION:Community Captain:Meghan\n\nAbout This Event:\nLearn mountain biking skills on the trails in the New River Gorge National Park\n\n\nWhat to Expect:\n•	Beginner\, slow pace\, 2 miles trail with 130 feet of climbing. It will be a full Clovis loop to the one small section of Dalton that puts us on Craig's branch\, onto the connector back to Clovis and back to the trail head. \n•	Try something new and meet others who enjoy mountain biking in the NRG region!\n•	No experience required\, just bring your enthusiasm!\nHow to Prepare:\n•	Bring your own bike\, helmets are required\, bring your own helmet.\n•	Bring water to drink. \nStay Connected: Pre-register and you will receive an email if the event has to be cancelled for any reason. \nQuestions? Contact hello@activeswv.com with any questions. \n\nRegistration to any Active SWV free programming indicates acceptance of our liability waiver for every adult and child attending.  https://rpb.li/rNo\nPlease do not attend programs if you are not feeling well.  Regarding Community Captain Programs and groups of children: All Active SWV Community Captain programs are family friendly\; children are invited to attend with the expectation of a parent/guardian ratio of 1 guardian adult to 5 children. It is our expectation for larger groups of children (e.g. Scouts\, youth groups\, etc)\, that an adult to child ratio of 1 adult to 5 children be observed in ages 5 and under\, and 1 adult to 10 children be observed for ages 5 and above. Get Active in the Park is an innovative partnership between the National Park Service and Active Southern West Virginia. Trained Community Captains deliver free\, beginner-level instructional programs to the New River Gorge region. Get Active in the Park empowers our community to see outdoor spaces as a place for health and wellness to take place.
