DESCRIPTION:Location: Dun Glen Day Use Area Address: Thurmond Rd\, Glen Jean\, WV 25846\, Fayette County Meet in the gravel parking lot near the white trailer (before the main parking area/shelter at Dun Glen) \nCommunity Captains:Kalila and Delaney About This Event: Join Community Captains Alyssa \, Jen\, and Jacki for a Stand Up Paddleboarding (SUP) session at the scenic Dun Glen Day Use Area in the New River Gorge National Park. This event is a great opportunity to get active on the water\, improve your balance\, and enjoy the beauty of the river—all in a fun and supportive environment. What to Expect: • A beginner-friendly SUP session led by trained Community Captains • Instruction on paddleboarding technique and water safety • A peaceful paddle on calm river waters How to Prepare: • Wear water-appropriate activewear or a swimsuit • Bring water\, towel\, and sun protection • SUP boards will be provided\, but feel free to bring your own if you have one • No prior experience needed—just come ready to try something new! Registration to any Active SWV free programming indicates acceptance of our liability waiver for every adult and child attending. Please do not attend programs if you are not feeling well. https://rpb.li/rNo Regarding Community Captain Programs and groups of children: All Active SWV Community Captain programs are family friendly\; children are invited to attend with the expectation of a parent/guardian ratio of 1 guardian adult to 5 children. It is our expectation for larger groups of children (e.g. Scouts\, youth groups\, etc)\, that an adult to child ratio of 1 adult to 5 children be observed in ages 5 and under\, and 1 adult to 10 children be observed for ages 5 and above.
