This popular 3.9-mile out-and-back trail leads to a breathtaking overlook with panoramic views of the lake and surrounding cliffs—making it a must-see destination for outdoor enthusiasts. What to Expect: • A moderately challenging hike with rolling terrain and roots along the path • Stunning views from the Long Point overlook • A relaxed group pace with time to enjoy the scenery How to Prepare: • Wear sturdy hiking shoes or boots with good grip • Bring water, snacks, and dress for the weather • Trekking poles and layers recommended for comfort • Meet at the Long Point Trailhead before 2:00 PM for group check-in

Regarding Community Captain Programs and groups of children: All Active SWV Community Captain programs are family friendly; children are invited to attend with the expectation of a parent/guardian ratio of 1 guardian adult to 5 children. It is our expectation for larger groups of children (e.g. Scouts, youth groups, etc), that an adult to child ratio of 1 adult to 5 children be observed in ages 5 and under, and 1 adult to 10 children be observed for ages 5 and above.
