Location: Glade Creek Trail, Prince, WV Community Captain: Josh When: April 20th at 10am About This Event: Beginner hikers welcomed, this group offers a welcoming space to stay active and connect with others. All fitness levels are encouraged to join, even if you have never hiked or hiked on this trail before. What to Expect: • Hike length 10 miles • Meet at the parking area for Glade Creek Trail on the Prince side (if using GPS put Glade Creek Campground) • This will be a longer hike, 5 miles out to the falls and 5 miles back to the parking area How to Prepare: • Bring Water, wear water resistant shoes and weather appropriate clothing • Hike will be cancelled in the event of extreme bad weather. Regarding Community Captain Programs and groups of children: All Active SWV Community Captain programs are family friendly; children are invited to attend with the expectation of a parent/guardian ratio of 1 guardian adult to 5 children. It is our expectation for larger groups of children (e.g. Scouts, youth groups, etc), that an adult to child ratio of 1 adult to 5 children be observed in ages 5 and under, and 1 adult to 10 children be observed for ages 5 and above. Youth are encouraged to attend but must be accompanied by a guardian and the adult must stay on site during the activity.
