Check another official West Virginia Waterfall off your list. Located near mile-marker 8.1 on the Greenbrier River Trail, Loopemount Waterfall is right along this easy hiking/biking trail but is not often visited. Why? The access is at the Harper Road trailhead (newly improved) near Lewisburg, but the waterall is a little more than two miles north on the trail. Water flow is strongest in the spring. This will be a hike at your own pace day, and you certainly do NOT have to make it all the way to the falls.Meet at The Hub in Lewisburg at 10:00 a.m. to carpool/caravan to the trail; we’ll also stop at the very first parking area for the trail (Caldwell trailhead). If coming from the north, it is shorter to approach the trailhead differently. Harper Road itself is driveable....just requires that you watch for other vehicles.
