Location: Railroad Grade Trail Address: Meet at the second parking lot near the bathroom Community Captain: Emily When: Sunday, May 25th at 12:00 PM About This Event: Join us for a hike along the scenic Railroad Grade Trail. This trail offers a beautiful natural setting and a great opportunity to get active and explore one of West Virginia’s iconic landscapes. What to Expect: • A guided group hike lasting approximately one hour (may go longer depending on group pace) • A rocky, potentially wet trail—be prepared for some uneven and slippery terrain • A welcoming environment for all fitness levels How to Prepare: • Wear water-resistant shoes or boots and weather-appropriate clothing • Bring plenty of water • Trekking poles may be helpful for added stability • Be prepared for wet or muddy conditions Registration to any Active SWV free programming indicates acceptance of our liability waiver for every adult and child attending. Please do not attend programs if you are not feeling well. https://rpb.li/rNo Regarding Community Captain Programs and groups of children: All Active SWV Community Captain programs are family friendly; children are invited to attend with the expectation of a parent/guardian ratio of 1 guardian adult to 5 children. It is our expectation for larger groups of children (e.g. Scouts, youth groups, etc), that an adult to child ratio of 1 adult to 5 children be observed in ages 5 and under, and 1 adult to 10 children be observed for ages 5 and above.
