Twin Falls Hike

Location: Twin Falls Resort State Park Address: 22749 Twin Falls Rd, Mullens, WV 25882, Wyoming County Meet-Up Spot: The Hub – 232 Lee St Building C, Lewisburg, WV 24901 Community Captain: Becky When: Monday, June 9th – Meet at 9:00 AM at The Hub to carpool/caravan About This Event: Join us for a day of hiking at Twin Falls Resort State Park, home to two beautiful waterfalls along a single trail. Though they may only count as one stop on the WV Waterfall Trail, this hike offers great scenery, easy access to falls, and the chance to explore additional trails for a total of 4–5 miles. The park also features the historic Pioneer Farm, a great bonus stop during your visit. What to Expect: • A 1.25-mile round-trip hike to view both waterfalls • Additional hiking to reach 4–5 miles total for the day • Time to explore the Pioneer Farm and enjoy the park • Carpooling available from Lewisburg (approx. 80-minute drive) How to Prepare: • Wear sturdy hiking shoes with good tread • Bring water, snacks, and lunch • Dress in layers and prepare for variable trail conditions • Consider bug spray and sunscreen • Bring cash if you’d like to visit the farm or visitor amenities Registration to any Active SWV free programming indicates acceptance of our liability waiver for every adult and child attending. Please do not attend programs if you are not feeling well. https://rpb.li/rNo Regarding Community Captain Programs and groups of children: All Active SWV Community Captain programs are family friendly; children are invited to attend with the expectation of a parent/guardian ratio of 1 guardian adult to 5 children. It is our expectation for larger groups of children (e.g. Scouts, youth groups, etc), that an adult to child ratio of 1 adult to 5 children be observed in ages 5 and under, and 1 adult to 10 children be observed for ages 5 and above.
