1:00 PM – 4:00 PM 1 - 1:30 Greetings & Introductions 1:30 - 2:30 Presentation on Safety and Bikepacking Gear/Bikes 3 - 4pm Riding on Meadow Trail We’re hosting a beginner-friendly Bikepacking 101 session to get you geared up—literally and mentally—for your next adventure on two wheels! Whether you’re brand new to bikepacking or just want to sharpen your skills, this workshop is for you.
What We’ll Cover:
Choosing the right gear & bike setup
Packing smart and staying safe
Tips from the trail
A hands-on ride on the beautiful Meadow River Trail We’ll kick things off with intros and a casual presentation at the Ascend WV HQ, then hit the trail to put what you’ve learned into action.
Come ride, learn, and connect with others who are ready to explore our region by bike. Space is limited, so grab your spot now!

Regarding Community Captain Programs and groups of children: All Active SWV Community Captain programs are family friendly; children are invited to attend with the expectation of a parent/guardian ratio of 1 guardian adult to 5 children.
