Location: Summersville Lake State Park Community Captain: Josh When: Friday, June 14th at 2:00 PM About This Event: Join us for an adventurous hike at Summersville Lake State Park to explore Pirate’s Cove and the Climbers Trail. This scenic area features lake views, rugged terrain, and forested paths, making it a great afternoon outing for hikers looking to enjoy the natural beauty of West Virginia. What to Expect: • A moderate hike with uneven terrain and lake views • Exploration of Pirate’s Cove and popular climbing access trails • A supportive and social group experience How to Prepare: • Wear sturdy hiking shoes with good tread • Bring water, snacks, and sun protection • Dress for the weather and bring bug spray • Be prepared for rocky and potentially steep sections Registration to any Active SWV free programming indicates acceptance of our liability waiver for every adult and child attending. Please do not attend programs if you are not feeling well. https://rpb.li/rNo Regarding Community Captain Programs and groups of children: All Active SWV Community Captain programs are family friendly; children are invited to attend with the expectation of a parent/guardian ratio of 1 guardian adult to 5 children. It is our expectation for larger groups of children (e.g. Scouts, youth groups, etc), that an adult to child ratio of 1 adult to 5 children be observed in ages 5 and under, and 1 adult to 10 children be observed for ages 5 and above.
